Content Maturity
Mark and filter mature content on a Barazo forum with three maturity levels.
Barazo has three maturity levels, and they let you keep a forum, or parts of it, behind a maturity gate. The levels are safe, mature, and adult.
Where maturity is set
Maturity is set in two places:
- The forum default, on the admin Settings page. It's the baseline for the whole forum.
- Per category, in the category settings. A category can be more mature than the forum default, never less.
The Content ratings page in the admin area gives you a read-only overview: the three levels, your forum's current rating, and each category's rating in one place.
How the levels interact
- A category can't be marked below the forum default. If the forum is "mature", its categories are mature or adult.
- Raising the forum-wide default is blocked while any category still sits below the new level. Move those categories up first.
- Setting a forum to mature or adult affects how it appears in the wider Barazo network's aggregated views.
What members see
Depending on the forum's setup and their own preference, members see mature content behind a warning or filtered out. Their side of this is covered in Staying safe.
