Onboarding

Onboarding is the short set of fields a new member completes before they can post. Use it to gate posting on the things your community needs: an age confirmation, agreement to your terms, or a question of your own. You manage it from Onboarding in the admin area.

Field types

• Age confirmation
• Terms of Service acceptance, with a link to your terms
• Newsletter email
• Custom text, a free-text answer
• Custom select, a choice from options you set
• Custom checkbox

Per field

Each field has a label and an optional description, and you choose whether it's required. Terms-of-service fields also take the URL of your terms. Add fields, order them with the up and down controls, and a member completes them in that order before their first post.
